PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, 29-Jun-04 - Effective 1st July, 2004 TSTT will reduce international rates to most international destinations by 50%. TSTT mobile and fixed line customers will now be able to call any international destination at any time of day or night and benefit from a 50% rate reduction. "The rate reduction is an important step in TSTT's efforts to remain the service provider of choice in a competitive environment," notes Samuel A. Martin, CEO of TSTT. "Instead of worrying about the impact of competition or any number of other uncontrollable variables, we intend to be aggressive in the marketplace, and to stay as the provider of choice," he added. The 50% rate reduction applies to Night Saver rates as well. In addition to this rate reduction, TSTT has also dropped the rate of its Talk Fuh So promotion from $1.09 to $1.00 per minute. Customers can also continue to use Talk N Save to receive an even greater discount on international calls. Customers calling the Caribbean will receive a 40% discount on the rates after four minutes. The discount applies to the following islands in the Caribbean and Antartica: Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, Cuba, Dominica, French Guiana, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Jamaica, Martinique, Montserrat, Nauru Island, Niue Island, Norfolk Island, Solomon Island, St. Helena, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Venezuela, Turks & Caicos, British Virgin Islands, Wallis, Futuna and Sao Tome.
