Call Master and Custom Calling services are a range of enhanced services that are provided to enable residential customers to manage their telephone calls according to their needs. Choose from the topics below to find out more:
This service enables customers to see the telephone number of an incoming call. The caller's telephone number, date and time appears on the small screen of the Call Management Telephone Set which is designed to accommodate the display of such information. Customers with regular telephones are however required to purchase a small display unit which is connected to their telephone. Customers subscribing to Caller ID will also be provided with TSTT's 'Anonymous Caller Rejection' service at no extra cost.
Subscribers to this service will be able to automatically reject incoming calls from callers who intentionally block their telephone number from being identified. Persons making such calls to subscribers of this service, will not be allowed to get through and will get a message stating that the call cannot be completed because their telephone number could not be identified. Calls which otherwise cannot be identified, such as international calls, will however not be rejected. In this case subscribers to 'Anonymous Caller Rejection' who have Caller ID, will get a screen message indicating that the caller's telephone number is unavailable.
TSTT's 'Hold Number Delivery' service enables customers to prevent their telephone numbers from being sent to, or identified by the person or company being called. With this service, customers can for example call the AIDS Hotline or make other sensitive calls without having their telephone number identified or displayed on a Caller ID Unit.
If the telephone number dialed is busy, 'Automatic Redial' will repeatedly dial the number automatically. Simply enter *66 after receiving a busy tone and automatic redial will call the last number dialed. If the number is still busy, users will get a recorded message informing them that the number dialed is busy.
Put an end to not picking up the phone on time, with 'Return Call'. This service allows subscribers to re-call the number of the last incoming call without even knowing the number of the caller. Just enter the code *69 and Return Call will announce the number, the time and date of the last in-coming call.
Subscribers to TSTT's 'Call Trace' service can trace malicious and other calls made to their residence. To trace a call, replace the handset and get a dial tone immediately after receiving the call and then enter the code *57. Users will be informed whether the trace was successful or not through a voice message. Information on traced calls will be recorded by TSTT and provided to the appropriate authorities.
Subscribers to this service can have three additional telephone numbers to their single telephone line. Each number will have its own distinct ring which would assist in identifying whom the call is for. These additional telephone numbers can be listed in the telephone directory based on the existing charge for an extra directory listing.
This service allows your telephone to automatically dial a telephone number of choice. To make a quick call without dialing, simply lift the handset for ten seconds and 'Alert Call' will automatically dial the required number. To get alert call to automatically dial without waiting the ten seconds, press the # button after lifting the hand-set. The telephone number to be used as the contact number, must however be provided to TSTT when the service is ordered. This number can also be changed, anytime afterwards by the user. 'Alert Call' is ideal for emergency numbers or a frequently used telephone number.
While on important calls, overseas calls or, if your phone is also used for fax and data, 'Hold Call Waiting' will temporarily place the call waiting tone on hold. This service allows subscribers to temporarily cancel their Call Waiting function for the duration of one call at a time and can be activated immediately before placing a call or while a call (made or received) is in progress.
